Hi everyone,
I had TVH on Apr 08. Today I am feeling very well. I had a Spinal block above waist and down. My MD agreed I could stay awake throught the procedure. My biggest fear was going under.
Surgery went well. My uterus was that of a 14 wk pregnancy. I had a 8cm fibroid pressing on my bladder and 6cm and 5cm. I started to become nauseated in recovery rm. When they took me to my rm I just rested. I still had nausea that night and vomited, they gave me Phenergan. The next morning I went home. I have been taking Ibuprofen 600mg every 6 hrs. I took 1 Darvocet-N 100 the first day home. It makes me too loopy. Ibuprofen works well for me. I ate fruit and vegatables and drank lots of water so I could have a BM. Today I had a BM. Everything seems to be working right now. I rest and walk around the house. I have a tendency to do to much.
I know with each day we will get better,

Love to all of you.

Wow------I would have completely freaked if I'd been awake. I couldn't watch a video of the procedure online. Actually, I didn't even try to until a few weeks post-op and about freaked out. Glad I hadn't seen it BEFORE hand or I might have chickened out.

I'm glad you're doing so well.....keep pampering yourself!
