Passing blood clots, 4 months post op

Is it normal to pass some blood clots over 4 months later? I didn't pass any after surgery, I hardly had much discharge. Since my hysterectomy, I have had a colonoscopy(polyp removed, it was ok); EGD(found out I had a hiatal hernia); another sonogram & a HIDA scan(I had a 14% discharge rate: dysfunctional gall bladder); laprascopic gall bladder surgery (chlolecystectomy) 4/04/08. While I was in the hospital last week I passed a quarter sized blood clot, they did a urine test for infection(haven't heard anything on that yet) and this morning, I passed a couple of more little clots. I have an appt. tomorrow morning with my gen. surgeon. I'm just wondering whether to make an appt. with my gyn. or not. Any suggestions would be appreciated. :confuse:
Thanks.

If your clots are being passed vaginally (and I assume since you posted here, they are) then please call you gyn about it. At least to make sure they are aware of what is going on.

Oh please do make an appt with your gyn! I can only guess, maybe internal stitches passing, but I'm not sure at 4 months post op. I'd be concerned, as I'm at 3 months now and have not passed any clots since the first week, although I'm still waiting for something because I can be a pessimist if I think too hard! Let us know what you find out, please!

Wow.........it sounds like you've had a rough 4 months!

I would definately let your gyn know along w/your surgeon tomorrow. Keep asking everyone until you find out a reason.

Blessings!

Hi (((Karen1976))) -- I'd call the doc and get this checked out. Seems odd to be passing clots at 4 months...

Please let us know what you find out.
