Bleeding 12 weeks post-op

This past weekend I bled like a regular period. My surgery was January 28th, and ever since the surgery I have had some type of spotting or bleeding. I went to my doctor last week and she applied the silver nitrate. After that I started bleeding immediately. By Saturday I was bleeding heavily and I am passing blood clots just like I did before my hysterectomy. Is it possible the doctor didn't remove my whole uterus? I had it done laproscopically. This bleeding is scaring me so much. I have horrible cramps too. I can't believe this is happening. I am terrifed of having to have another operation. I didn't do well at all with the anesthesia. Plus, my insurance is lousy, and I'm in the process of paying the hospital and doctor for what my insurance didn't cover (close to $4000). If my doctor botched my surgery, what do I do??

I am sorry you are bleeding and having problems. Sometimes the vaginal cuff cause a lot of problems and more treatments are needed and even minor surgery. The cuff is difficult to heal for some of us, and is not uncommon for this surgery. I had 3 treatments spanning several months and even had minor surgery in office. Some ladies here have had laser treatments to the cuff or other more extensive work.

There are risks with any kind of surgery.

You can always get a copy of your records, as many women ask for them.
