I need to lose weight but

I dont know what to do ....

HAd emergency h op on 27.12 and since then have done no exercise at all - and now I feel really over weight - had to get size 16 clothes to go back to work in as my size 12's were too tight - dont want to weigh myself as I feel low enough already - never have had to diet before so feel v strange about my body image atm

I need to get motivated but cant think straight as I am still geting abdo pain - it has been v uncomfortable on left side the last 2 weeks.

Maybe swimming is the answer!

I need to lose weight but

Swimming would probably be great. Light walking at first worked well, for me. You might consider seeing your doc for the pain since it's been 3 1/2 months since your hyst.

I need to lose weight but

Thank you for that good suggestion.

I am reducing my working week to four days so when the girls go back to school I can go for a swim on Friday and then do some walking through the week. I think its the motivation that I am lacking but I know I need to get moving!

I am going to make an appt with the doc too.

Hope you are having a nice day

I need to lose weight but

Hi I just wanted to give you some encouragement because if I can do it you can!! I have lost 25lbs since surgery, now granted I was never over wt until after I had my daughter at 40 so I think that shocked my system and now that the surgery is done I have gotten down to the size I have been for years. I just went back to the way I ate after my son was born 17 years ago. I count calories, and eat no fat or low fat products, like pretzels and brown rice (no gravy. I work out every night 20 minutes on my step and 8 with free wts, as soon as i get the government IRS check rebate I will join the gym that my girlfriends go too. I take long walks with my 3 year old daughter, since losing I am so motivated. There are many 100 calorie packs of snacks that are very good (the chocolate covered pretzels YUM) I also bought the special K waters they have protein in them so they help keep you full. When i want candy I eat licorice or smarties (they are fat free) Oh also flavor aide makes freezer pops that are sugar free. The flavored waters that you can get most anywhere are very good and have no calories or carbs and are very low in sodium. I hope this helped i did it so can you!!! be patient remember not too do too much, I have not started any tummy stuff but I am going to try that too Good luck!

I need to lose weight but

Sure you can do it! Just do 20-30 minutes of some activity, like walking at least 3 times a week. Limit your carbs and sugar.

I had a TAH on November 12, 2007. Since then I have lost 20 lbs and several inches. My abdomen is smaller than it has been for about 10 yrs. I go to the "30 minute workout place."

If I can do it anyone can! This is the longest I have stuck to any kind of exercise.

GOOD LUCK!

I need to lose weight but

I had my surgery on 4/18/08, I had full hysteretomy. I used to get into my pants before surgery but now almost 6 weeks later, I can't even get into them. Is it because I hardly do anything for almost 6 weeks and gain a little or do you think I still have a swelling belly?
