When did your post-op soreness start to disappear?

I will be 5 weeks out tomorrow and it's only within the last three or four days that I have awakened without pain. I count these little steps as big victories in order to help me be patient, which is not my strong suit.

When did your post-op soreness start to disappear?

Hi Ladies,

I'm just past 10 weeks post-op and for the first time, last night, I had a moment where my surgery/recovery/swelly belly was the furthest thing from my mind. It was actually during sex, so double-bonus, there! LOL It surprised me so much that I actually said to my partner "holy crap, for a second there, I totally forgot I had surgery!"

Just this past week I've been able to sleep on my tummy with no problems. Sleeping on my sides/back wasn't too bad all this time, but I've always had better sleeps on my tummy. My belly is still swelly and isn't yet showing any signs of going away. I don't feel very much discomfort anymore when doing my pants up, either.

Don't worry, it will get better. You just can't rush these things.

When did your post-op soreness start to disappear?

Hi I'm 6 weekds post op. I had a TAH kept ovaries and also a full abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). I feel sore but don't know if it's from the tummy tuck or hyst. I feel more of a tightness like a bear is squeezing me! I'm not so sore until nighttime but I'm walking two miles a day and doing all the usual things now. I go back to work May 10. I just want to feel normal again! I think "pain free" is a long way off for me! But, at least it's not so bad as a month ago!
