Anyone else put on weight?

I think as you give it time you will see that those extra pounds will start to come off. I gained about 10 pounds from before and after. 4 pounds in 2 days and then as I got more active the weight started coming off. I tried to go for the sugar free stuff or the 100 cal pack as much as I could. Loved choc before and now its ok but don't really care for it now. Now that is just not right! Hang in there and I think you will find soon it will come off with your activity.

Anyone else put on weight?

Ladies, I also gained weight after surgery. Three months later, here, I am starting to go back down towards my pre-surgery weight. I'm guessing we are retaining fluids in the swelling. My understanding is that muscle tissue, when damaged, holds fluids during it's self-repair process. I hope and pray that none of us are "doomed" to keep this weight on, as long as we do what we need to do by eating well and exercising as best we can during our recovery.
I love you all..hang in there, we are in this together!!

Anyone else put on weight?

Yes ma'am I did!!! lol Not worried, will be going for a 6 week checkup tomorrow. I guess my doc will know that I have been good and followed his orders. Of course if he saw my house he would also know that! I just do a little work, take a break and eat, do a little more work, take a break and eat...haha. What else is there to do?

Anyone else put on weight?

I put weight on before my surgery, 10lbs. MD put me on Norethindrone Ace to help stop the functioning of my ovaries. That was our last straw to hold off the surgery, but made things worse for me. That was only for 3 months. I stop taking it in December. Thought for sure by my 2 week post-op I would have lost most of it, not....only 2 lbs. I go Thursday for my 6 week post-op. Don't think I lost anymore, can't really do anything, but walk. I want to lose more before summer hits, how depressing! Can't wait to ride my bike when I get the okay .

I gained 10 lbs since surgery - all in the same area - boobs to incision. I was a chocolate eating machine during my recovery. I've been on a diet for a couple of weeks and am down 6 of the 10, so I KNOW that a good portion of the weight is fluid since my caloric deficit should only have me losing 1 lb a week.
