I am confused as really what to eat not to eat...he said no more fiber and no pain meds..since it caused problems..help anyone!!
Have you been over to the post op section for our surgery week? There are tons of us dealing with the same things, and we are all at the same timeframe?

The bowel issue is huge for me because I am missing several feet of intestine from when I was young. It has been a battle my whole life, and surgery just makes it worse. I take stool softener pills. They seem to work the best. I also take gas pills, to help move that through, as well.

I have found that my belly is swollen only when I have to poo. If I get backed up, even a little bit, my belly swells. So, good luck in getting it moving. Once you get it out you will be thrilled, and feel so much better. So, one good round of stool softeners and you may feel like a whole new woman...lol!

Good luck,

Thanks Ladies!!...I actually have been going..it's just been runny, no solid to it at all in three weeks..I have to admit I am not eating very much, not feeling like i can..oh this is so frustrating. I actually made an appointment with my general physician for today..since my ob/gyn is on vacation..my doc..knows me and I trust him...I guess I feel I should be progressing better at this stage?am i expecting too much?.if I did not mention it i had my uterus and cervix removed, had a fibroid that was large.
