Is it normal to be so tired?

It's completely normal to feel tired. Your body has been through a lot, and takes a lot of energy to heal. I feel like the majority of my time is spent sleeping, but I know it's beneficial in healing. Enjoy the excuse to rest now, because life will be back to normal in a few months lol

Is it normal to be so tired?

I'm nine months post-op...I had about 6 weeks before I had to return to work, as an elementary school teacher. The first weeks of school I HAD to nap, as soon as, I got home. Tired? Yeah you will be. You had major surgery! Your body will take up to a year to heal.

You don't need to hear my woes, but I had a complication DURING the hyst...caused me to be in the hopsital for 8 days...since then, I've had a bout of several unexplained illnesses...from hives, to rheumatic fever, to insanely elevated liver enzymes...not to mention depression...which I've NEVER sufferd from before...Finally got over that and got with bronchitis this past winter....In the end, the doc is telling me that from all the anitbiotics I had been on, both in and out of the hopstial, my body just couldn't fight off the infections. point is that's normal to be tired...there is good reason why you cannot return to work for 6 weeks. YOUR BODY NEEDS TO HEAL! And, in my opinion, 6 weeks is not enough!! With all that women have to do in their daily lives, 6 weeks just doesn't cover it...Listen to your body! If it says "I'm tired," give it rest...and lots of it!

Blessings on your recovery!

Is it normal to be so tired?

I am 15 weeks post-op and I still get pretty tired - more so than I used to. I have been back to work for 13 weeks and wish I could have some of those sick days back that I should have used in early post-op.

I think it is normal to be tired. Just be sure to listen and rest when needed.
