Post-op pain: Appendicitis or gas?

Hello ladies,
Well here's where I really need sisterly advice. I am having a really annoying on and off pain on my right side, right around my hip bone. It only hurts after I have been laying down or sitting down for too long. It doesn't hurt when I walk, but after a while it gets a little uncomfortable. I have been feeling this for 2 days now, and wanted to think that it was gas, but gas doesn't last for 2 days, or does it? I am having normal BM (once a day) and the general post-op surgery is mild, only when I sneeze or cough it hurts. I haven't done any crazy things or sudden movements to think I pulled something, but I have been sneezing a lot, and you know that takes abdominal strength.
Now, I know none of you is a doctor, but maybe someone has been through any of this and can help me please? I am seeing my MD tomorrow, but I just want to get your opinions if there are any.
Thanks and sorry to bother.

Yeah, I kept my ovaries, and I thought that could be the reason, but the dates according to my last period don't match. I wonder though if the dates got all changed because of the surgery... I am clueless

I'm betting against the appendix, but it's good that you're seeing your doctor tomorrow just to be on the safe side. This could be gas pains or ovulation as (((dressedupinblue))) mentioned, or could just be normal pain that comes along with healing. I can attest to the fact that the pain and soreness moves around throughout the weeks and months following surgery. At 8 months post-op, I still get a bit of soreness in my tummy when I've been doing too much of a strenuous activity. Good luck and let us know what you find out!
