4 months out and still have abdominal tenderness. HELP!!!

I am 4 months out and still have alot of abdominal tenderness. Most of the time it only hurts when I accidentally lean against the kitchen counter or press up against something with my belly. A couple of weeks ago I started having severe back pain and it feels like my hips are on fire and the ab pains have gotten worse. Has anyone else experianced this?

Yes!!!!

I had my LSH on 12/12 with vaginal cuff repair emergency surgery on 12/25 so I am right with you as far as time goes. My belly is still very tender. Especially where my incisions are. My belly hurts if I push in certain areas. My belly is also still swollen especially gets worse at night. My hips burn and hurt all the time. I think one of the problems is I sleep on my side because my belly is still to sore to sleep on. My right hip is hurting so bad this morning it is throbbing.
I have recently had an MRI of my back which showed some minor disc bulges and lower back arthritis. I think the surgery and months of recovery laying on my back has aggravated the situation.
I also have pelvic pain. I went to see my surgeon last week and he is sending me for a belly ultrasound and a CT cat scan of pelvic and abdomen.
I hope this was not to much information. I share because I know that it helps me to know that other ladies around my time are experiencing some of the things that I am. Not that I would want anyone else to be in pain but it helps to know that what we are experiencing "might" be normal and not necessarily something bad. I will pray for you.

4 months out and still have abdominal tenderness. HELP!!!

Donna:
I too have one very sore spot to the left of my vert. incision. Nothing else hurts much and I have been concerned ab0ut it.. I have heard other ladies talking about hematomas and seromas (blood filled and just fluid ) sacs.. My gyne said maybe I had a tear in the fascia, but he didn't seem too concerned. I will be having a ct scan in the next few weeks so hope that sheds some light on it. When I find out something, I will post back

belly pain

I am 7 mos. out from TAH and if I lean against my counter I can feel tenderness. I am still pretty much totally numb around the exact incision but it is still tender. I had the hip and back pain too but it is much better. I can't believe that a year ago I was hospitalized for anemia and now I am so glad to be done with all that bleeding! Celebrating 30 yr. wedding anniversary soon and it is nice to know I don't have to make my "plans" around my periods The first few months are tough but it was so worth everything. Feel great ladies. toocool

4 months out and still have abdominal tenderness. HELP!!!

I am also 7 months post op and still have tenderness from by bellybutton to my incision. I still have the numb sensation too. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one. One of my dogs jumped up right on my belly and 'Owww' did it hurt. I finally quit checking when I go to the bathroom to see if I started. It's so weird not having my period anymore. It seemed my whole life revolved around it before. Happy anniversary TooCool!!
