yellow discharge still at 6 wks??

I had everything out including my cervix and two days until my 6 wk mark I am still having a yellow discharge that makes me have to wear a liner. Is that normal? When will it go away? I'm ready for that part to be over. Also the last couple of days I have had a few times where I had pink again. Does that mean I am overdoing it? Anyone else have this happen?

yellow discharge still at 6 wks??

i had yellow discharge all the way up to my 8 week check up, by that time it had almost dissappeared, it's from your stitches dissolving which could take several weeks. in fact just testerday when i went to the bathroom, there was a small piece of stitch on the paper. no discharge any more but i still have a stitch or two up there. i bet in a week or two the Discharge will go away. the pink could mean your doing a little more than you should be, at least that has been my expierence. Dont fret, a couple more weeks and you may never see a pad or liner again,

Thanks, can't wait until it's gone. I thought all the stitches would be gone by now. It all takes so much TIME!

yellow discharge still at 6 wks??

OHHh dont i know it, i had the same Surgery u did except the Appendectomy, and i thought i'd be up & running a few weeks later, BOY was i wrong!! at my 2 week check up, the doc made me use Premarin cream to heal all those stitches, i remember telling him i though all the stitches would be gone at 2 weeks, he said ooh NOO it takes several weeks for them tho all dissolve!! i will be 9 weeks Wednesday, the discharge is pretty much gone, pain isn't bad, except when i do too much, or sit for too long, the only complaint i have is the fatigue, but i have cfs and fibro, so besides the LAVH/BSO i have all that going on too
so just kick back & take it easy, you will be up & running in no time i bet HUGS,Kat

Thanks Kat. Sorry to hear of your cfs and fibro. My Mom has both too. I can't imagine going through what I just went through if I had cfs and fibro on top of it all. I am so exhausted without all that added to it. I hope you get to feeling better. Hugs to you too!
