What was I thinking?????

Thanks for the hugs Crystalhart13!
I actually went for a walk with the hubby this morning! well, ok, I guess it wasn't a long walk, just half down the block and back! I am having pains in my hip area though and not so much in the belly....belly just feels like a have weight pack on it!

I am totally off meds and feel my brain actually starting to work! I am just tired of feeling ugly, laying here with my hair (dirty) pulled up in my hello kitty robe.....ye gads I need to stop whining dont I and just thank god that I will get better!

What was I thinking?????

Hi Bellasisters! Take care of yourself and wear your hello kitty robe as long as you need! Sounds like a very cool robe! This is a safe place where we can share all of our thoughts and emotions. We can admit ALL of our fears, frustrations, and hopes along the road to recovery. So please share and hugs to all my hyster-sisters.

What was I thinking?????

I am a nurse and the nursing care I rec'd sucked!!!! The nurses in preop, holding area and recovery were great, the floor nurses were terrible. I arrived in my room at 1:45 p.m., the nurse did not do an assessment of me, my IV or my foley catheter until 8:00 p.m..... The icing on the cake was when the staff was too lazy to bring me a wheelchair upon discharge. Yes, they wanted me to walk from my room down to the car... I thought my mother was going to strangle the staff. Needless to say I finally went out in a wheelchair.

As a nurse it is so sad to see some people in my profession that have no compassion, caring etc.

Sorry you to all of you who also had awful care. The gas will go away eventually. I too had a diet coke two days post op, big mistake.

I wish all of you a speedy recovery. I am exactly 2 weeks post LSH for 30+ fibroids and severe anemia. Feeling good.

Hi Crystalhart13 (and all my other sisters!)
How are you doing? I went for a walk all the way down the block and back this morning woo hoo!!! (of course hubby was there holding my arm) I am feeling a little better, the hip pains seem to have gone away for the most part, not on any meds, but haven't had a BM sibce the whole coke ordeal!

Hugs and good thoughts to all!

Ohhhhh, I know how you feel!! I'm a BIG Dr. Pepper drinker but after surgery, my tummy couldn't handle it either! It took a few weeks & then I had to slowly become re-aquainted with my beverage... :0)
