Internal stitch is sticking through one of my incisions

So one of my internal stitches is popping through one of my incisions. Is this anything to worry about? I didn't have any external stitches, so I know it's not that.

Will it dissolve on it's own sticking out?

This is happening to me as well.

The last lap. surgery I had (back 3 years ago, I think) I had that happen too. It did not dissolve, and the doctor cut it out during my post op. It kinda pinched, but wasn't too big of a deal. I'm thinking that's what will happen this time around too.

Yikes! I was kind of hoping that wouldn't be the case!

With my tubal, I had a reaction to the sutures and the doc ended up pulling them all out about 2 weeks post-op. It definitely smarted and I was hoping I wouldn't have that ordeal again.

Thank you for your response! Wasn't sure if it was a big deal or not.

Internal stitch is sticking through one of my incisions

I discovered that I too have an internal stitch poking thru. I didn't have external stitches or staples and figured I would just wait to see what happens/next visit. Truthfully, I'm not in any hurry for anything that might be uncomfortable seeing as I am feeling really good right now but still have vivid memories of the pain (although it was quick) from having a drain (abdominal)removed post-op.

Internal stitch is sticking through one of my incisions

Dr. had to pull a few of mine out. I had same problem when I had tubes tied only I wound up with an infection then too. My body does not like those stitches. It didn't hurt when he pulled it out, but what did hurt was that the stitches were so far through that my shirt would rub against them and incision would get inflammed and it hurt a lot. Instant relief to be able to walk out of Dr.'s office with my shirt down.
