Bumpiest ride EVER through the castle

I am very sorry that you had a very scary experience with your surgery but glad to hear that you are okay.

I so can relate to your situation with your dh. While mine was very supportive in some ways, he is the same way with needing to have some ache or pain to get attention also.

The day I came home from the hospital he sat down and put an ice pack on his elbow because it was killing him. He also complained about it while I was in the hospital. I was just like you have got to be kidding me. And right now as I type this he has been in bed ever since he came home from work because he has a cold. And trust me everytime I have a cold or something he then has one and it is ten time worse according to him. I am not sure why men are like this other than they are so used to us being the care takers that if we are sick they have to hurry up and be sicker so they can be taken care of. Anyway I think it can be pretty typical. Just try not to let it get to you and make sure you take care of you and get the rest you need. Wishing you a good recovery. Take care.

Wow! What an ordeal you went thru. Thankfully, you're getting thru it.

As for your hubby, he sounds just like mine, and most likely suffers from spoiled hubby syndrome. I know mine is use to me catering to his every whim. He was actually empathetic during the weeks leading to surgery, and that lasted til about 5 days post op. His excuse was his work boots were hurting his feet and back because his shoe inserts were so old. I can understand that. He stands on concrete floors for 10 to 12 hours a day, 5 days a week. I just couldn't understand why I had to go to Walmart with him for new ones. After showing him which ones to get, we argued for 10 minutes, until I finally made him take off his boot and take out the old insert so he could actually see that the ones I said to get were the same ones that we bought before.

I always tell my hubby that it's a good think he was born a male and not a female, cause he just doesn't have the patience or compation to be a woman.
