Is getting rectal pressure normal???

Hi ladies,
I am 4 weeks now and in the last few days, I was getting bladder, vaginal and rectal pressure. It seems to have gotten better and some sisters say that they felt that too.

I now am mostly getting rectal pressure. I'm not constipated, but the rectum feels "full", even though I may have just gone to the bathroom. I have been having a BM everyday (sorry TMI), but I'm still feeling this? Has anyone else had this rectal pressure/feeling or found out what this could be? Thanks for your help?

(I see my doctor next Thursday-and I also called the nurse but she just asked me if I was constipated and I told her no-she just said to let the doctor know on Thursday).

Is getting rectal pressure normal???

I am also 4 weeks and having the same feelings, I saw my surgeon yesterday and he never adressed it, other than I'm healing. I don't feel as well this week as I did last week, and thought maybe I had poushed myself too hard?

Is getting rectal pressure normal???

I would let the doc know,& make sure you are getting enought fiber in you're diet. I had that also & then got a hemmroid which isn't very pleasant right at the six wk.I guess from all the sitting. Always good to check with the doc because alot of us have Gi issues as well there are so many posts of ladies getting coloscopies, not to get you worried surgury & medications cause intestines to get sluggish & they take a while to adjust

Is getting rectal pressure normal???

Gail,
What type of hysterectomy did you have? Mine was vaginal so I'm assuming that the pressure is felt more because of that??? Not sure though. You said your surgeon didn't address it? I wonder why not?? Surgeons! Honestly...I know that some are good, but some don't seem to take our concerns seriously.

Maetigger:
Ok, I'm going to add more fiber back into my diet cause..OUCH, I don't want to get a hemmoroid, that's for sure!

Come to think of it, I had been sitting for a while, but I think it also didn't help that I've been sneezing (allergies) and one time, it caught me off guard and I sneezed really hard!! OMGoodness! I thought the pressure was going to bust my stiches!! Then after that, it really was sore in my rectal area! Oh..just when I thought I was getting better and then this soreness and pressure kick in!! Uggh!
