Length of time to use up our estrogen reserves?

I know that our bodies have estrogen stored up and that we feel the symptoms of menopause when these are used up. Does anyone know how long that usually takes?

I don't believe that my experience was typical but it took nine months for me.

Length of time to use up our estrogen reserves?

After having my ovaries removed at the same time as my hysterectomy I started experiencing hot flashes as soon as I returned home after three days in the hospital. It just goes to show how unique each patient's experience can be.

Length of time to use up our estrogen reserves?

I had already been having hot flashes and night sweats for about a year before my last surgery. After the surgery I felt the full effect hit about 3 weeks into my recovery and just started my HRT this week.

estrogen reserves

I started having hot flashes as just as soon I got home from the hospital. It might even had started while I was in the hospital but probably ignored it due to so much pain. I haven't been started yet on HRT which I am trying not to be on it since my hot flashes is getting better as the time goes by.

Length of time to use up our estrogen reserves?

from the articles i have been reading, the average is around 3 months, but depends alot on lifestyle (smoking, drinking, obesity) and each individual's make-up. If you are on HRT, that might prolong any of those lovely menopausal symptoms

I had some hot flashes the first couple of days, then I started the patch, and had a couple more that following week (all of them mild hot flashes) Have not had any more.
