TVH ladies..has anyone heard this?

Read this on an old post and hadn't heard it before, but it makes sense.

"All your stitches are inside, self dissolving,
your body will be at its weakest point at 3 weeks, as stitches dissolve and weakened muscles must take over.
In other words be most careful between weeks 3-5, just as you're feeling stronger, remember to really take it easy."

For me Week 1 was the worst,
week 2 was fine, no pain, no pain meds, not even tylenol or advil-one
Week 3 started doing more stuff-balance of sitting, walking, cooking, napping, sitting some more. felt fine,
Day 20-blah, just didn't feel good, laid on couch all day
day 21-back pain, cramping
Just when I thought I could gradually increase things.
How are the other TVH Ladies doing?

TVH ladies..has anyone heard this?

I am not far enough in my recovery to know but it does make sense. I am at day 5 and have very little pain...just a bit crampy at times.

I will be watching this thread with interest though!

Good info! I had my TVH same day as you. I was feeling horrible a couple of days ago and had to get back on the pain meds. This might explain why eh???

I am at day 6 and I feel like crap. probably doing too much to soon, I went to my nephew's b-day party today it was an hr drive and then sitting in mcdonalds for 2 hrs then off to my sister-in-laws house for another 3 hrs of sitting and then another hr drive home and my stomach is killing me. Hope I start feeling better soon.

This makes total sense to me.
I am 12 days postop. I was sooo sore the first week. I've been alot better this second week (with the exception of overdoing it yesterday). Now that I'm moving on into my third week, I've been bleeding/discharging more and I've noticed more pain in my lower abdomen and a 'heaviness' coming from inside down below.
I know I overdid it yesterday. I've really got to watch that.
Thank you for posting that. It really does make perfect sense.

thank you! That makes sense and I get it! It's so nice to see we're all going through similar stuff. I am not crazy! (hey, I didn't say I was "normal").

TVH ladies..has anyone heard this?

i have had some weird sensations on and off, and i am 3 months out. I still have one stubborn stitch up in there (theres another post about it somewhere, but it poked DH during sex a few times, and the Doc checked me, and "its WAY up there " he said it would be worse on me to get it out than to let it there and go away on its own)

Whether or not it is true, I like the theory. I have been feeling good with little pain since I got home from the castle. I nap almost daily and think that I should not be getting so tired 3 weeks out. Yesterday and today I have felt a few more "twinges" than I did in the last week but thought it was because I have been increasing my activity. Sometimes I feel like I am becoming a lazy bum so it is good to have this place to make me feel normal.

Thanks for sharing this post im 11 days into my recovery and was feeling just fine right now and I was increasing my daily things little each day and I have noticed that when I do I get a feeling of my insides are right in my bottom and have to lay down for awhile and take the pain meds, Im also have alot of back pain all day long and was wondering if anyone else has the back pain sometimes its so hard to lay or even sit and hurts so bad, I had the back pain when I had a ablaision 2 months ago so I hope its all part of the healing time.
