Abdomen Pain 6 month post op

I still have a bulge on my abdobmen and it is still very tender and painful to the touch. It sometimes is a burning sensation. I had a CT Scan and it did not show anything of any significance. My last appointment with my surgeon was at 4 months post op and she stated that my symptoms were not normal but she said they were un-related to the Hyst. which does not sound right. The bulge and the pain that I have all started after my hyst. I was just curious if anyone else had these symptoms and if I should just give it more time or if I should be concerned there is something else going on.

Hello jadams8729...

I dont know what to tell you.. I am only 3 weeks out.. But I would tell your dr to do any kind of test they can to rule out what ever they can.. I was told it can take up to a year to fully recover form a hyster. Have they ruled out a hernia??? What is your pain on a pain scale? 10 being the worst??? Does it come and go, or is it constant?? I honistly dont know what to say... Please post back and let us know what happens... Prayers and thoughts are with you....

It is pretty much constant - sometimes worse than others. I would say it is a 3 or4 on a scale of 1-10. I too have heard that it can take a year to full recovery but I wasn't sure what was meant by that whether pain is normal up to a year for some people?
