Anyone keep ovaries and now have PMS?

Just curious what others are experiencing in the way of PMS symptoms. I am 5 mths post-op (TAH) and I kept my ovaries. I'm 45.

Now I am becoming irritable beyond belief, emotional and sensitive every 2 weeks. People offend me and I can cry in a second. It's like I'm wearing my heart on my sleeve. Then it goes away and 2 weeks later, it's back again.

Why would PMS come after 5 months?

You're hormones may now just be kicking into normal gear. I'm just over 6 weeks post op and have had two rounds of PMS. Finally went back to GP and asked for something to help control this. He gave me an anti-anxiety pill.

I'd suggest going to dr and discussing this if it's driving you nuts. I know that mine was bad. I was pacing, having trouble concentrating, and eating serving sizes that are beyond embarrassing. On top of that, trying to lose weight, just wasn't happening.

gee, mine started this week. 3 months post op!! i was about to tear my kids head off last night.

I was afaid of this! I so suffer from PMS ... I become a stark raving lunatic! LOL
I was so hoping it would be better after my hyster but I don't know why because I still have my ovaries.
