PMS symptoms from........well you know!

i have been soooooo out of whack this week, i chalked it up to DH working his 2 days off over the weekend and i have been stuck with the kids every day since sunday a week ago.
tonight i had a serious meltdown.
then getting a bath tonight it dawned on me when i realized my boobs really hurt "HELLO, PMS!!!" I can honestly say this is the first time i have really had hardcore PMS symptoms since my hyst.
Anyone else more PMSy since their surgery (i have my ovaries)???? anything i can or should do????

PMS symptoms from........well you know!

Missy,
You know, it is sure different each month. I had a LSH but kept ovaries since there was nothing wrong with them and I wanted their protective functions to last as long as they could. I know I cycle each month, but most months I am unaware of PMS, and have no idea when my period would start - if I were to actually bleed. Occasionally, however, I am aware, and this is mostly due to breast tenderness that I sometimes feel prior to starting my period. I don't usually melt down over much of anything (I am a special education teacher and people have told me I am pretty darn patient) but I do feel those boobs some months!!
Good luck - maybe next month it will be nothing.

I have felt that too. I am on HRT and read that sometimes that is a side effect.

Before my hysterectomy, my OBGYN suggested Eveing Primrose Oil. It is in capsule form. Some women find it helps with all of the symtems of PMS, from the mood swings to the breast tenderness.
