discharge almost 1 year post partial

Hi Ladies..
can anyone tell me if this is normal..

Had my partial hysterectomy (ovaries kept) last June...Ive had ongoing discharge since then..doesnt smell though..I guess you could say its not alot..but enough i need to wear a panty liner or i would stain my pants..and its typically just yellow in color..

For the longest time, I just thought it was 'normal' but then also had some bleeding with sex...went to the doctor and she said I needed a silver nitrate treatment..which she did..said she saw some granulation tissue..this was about 1 month ago..

after the treatment, the discharge completely stopped for about a week, I guess...and I thought that must have fixed the problem..but now I still have it..no bleeding though since the silver nitrate ..

so, is this normal? The silver nitrate experience was not a good one for me..it was a different doctor and she had no bedside manner...I hate to even go back to her..

I guess if i need to go back then I will make an appt with the doctor who did my surgery..she is now at another practice..

can anyone tell me if this is normal almost 1 year out..considering i still have my ovaries?

Partial hyst means that you kept you cervix and ovaries. Total hyst. means that you had cervix and uterus removed but kept your ovaries. If you have your cervix you could have discharge from that. You can also have mini periods if you have your cervix but that is not always the case.
I had a total hyst and have no discharge at all. I never use pantyliners any more.

I had my cervix and uterus removed, and I still need a pantiliner every day. Same thing you're describing.....yellow-ish discharge, no smell, etc. I'm almost 4 months post-op, and I haven't experienced any other problems...so I'm assuming it's OK. I go in at the end of the month for another check-up, so I will ask him then.

I don't know if you should be having discharge when you don't have a cervix. I kind of get the impression that most people have no discharge. Maybe you should just go back for another check up. I understand that the discharge thing bothers you. It is SO nice not having to wear any pantyliners.

OK....I called my doctor's office about this today. My discharge is getting worse, so I wanted their advice. The nurse told me that even though I don't have my cervix anymore, I shouldn't worry about discharge. HOWEVER, she did get me in to see my doctor tomorrow to make sure that it IS just dischage and not incontinence.....so we'll see.
