No bleeding heavy... pain seems increased & more cramping w/period-pain biggest issue

Doc says I have endometriosis.

He "suspects" adenomyosis.

I'm considering calling a reproductive endocrinologist for an opinion. I'm not interested in fertility issues. My DH has had a vasectomy. I'm 36 and the pains really "just" started in Dec. Going on 6 months. I'd describe the pain as "stabbing" UP into my cervix or perhaps along my bladder/uterus or urethra. I'm not sure exactly WHERE but it's "in there" and quite unpleasant.

Had a DX of cervicitis Jan and Feb but docs could NEVER figure out why. Was treated with gobs of antibiotics and no infection. I'm still unhappy with myself for allowing that. I just felt desperate to feel better and willing to "do hand stands" I recall telling them. (that's a bit vulnerable now, isn't it?)

BUT... I don't have consistent bleeding or heavy bleeding. Tiny clots occasionally.

In the last 6 months - we have had sex VERY rarely and a couple weeks ago I felt "not completely awful" and tried it. Oh my God! The pain afterward was SO NOT WORTH the bit of pleasure. It was stabbing pain from the "big O".

I feel so not normal.

DH is with the kiddos tonight at dance class and he'll text message me love notes but we used to flirt with "you need to shave 2nite" kinda messages to indicate it's a lucky night for us. I just can't even wrap my mind around trying anything even just for his sake b/c my stupid body responds and what is supposed to be good... is bad and painful and I'm referring to simple arousal.

It's SO weird. It just plain stinks.

I don't know if I'll end up with a hyst. Because of the adenomyosis suspicion... I think it's possible but I don't bleed so heavy. I've heard some women say that they can't leave the house it's so bad. I've never had it that bad.

I am sometimes that woman who doesn't want to leave the house. It's not due to bleeding heavy but due to pain and my need to have a heating pad or lay down for a bit.

Anyone relate?

I've never had depression but somewhat feel like I'm slipping. I'm so much more moody than ever. I apologize to my kiddos for being a grump.

I'm calling the MD this AM.... my gyn who started me on Seasonique BCP and who did my endo surgery. I woke with increased pain during the night and don't understand it.

I'm asking about my cervix and if adenomyosis could affect cervix pain due to cervicitis or endocervicitis. I want to ask about an MRI and colposcopy... one to check my uterus for adenomyosis and the other to check my cervix.

I'm trying to be patient.

Hi Margarine,

I have read some of your other posts and I feel like I am reading my story. Even the part about your DH and the vasectomy. Mine also had the procedure because BC pills made me feel so lousy.

Somehow we manage to cope, but when we decide it's time for something to be done, we want it fixed NOW!

I have seen so many sisters advise to see a specialist. I suggest that be done sooner than later.

It was also suggested to keep a pain journal or dairy. I had no idea why I was sooo tired all the time. I knew I felt like crapola most of the time but when you see it in black and white on a daily basis, well its no wonder I am tired.
I am keeping a journal now to take to a specialist at the end of the month. I think it will help a lot. Hope you are feeling better soon.
