Post Op Outing

Though I had little post op pain it is now irritating and makes me tired. I'm sleeping more. I did go out for a movie and the bookstore with hubby. MISTAKE. Walking around your home busy is nothing like sitting in a movie theatre or walking in a bookstore. 2 hours wore me out. I thought I was on the mend but that little trip let me know I had surgery. At least I am ok with being at home. Hubby felt the mini outing was worth it because now he doesn't have to fuss at me anymore...hardly.

A note to always busy Hystersisters wanting to get out the house. CHILL

That's a hard lesson to learn. Hay, my surgery was this past January. Today my DH and I worked in our veggie garden. In the afternoon, he commented that I should be moving faster...I told him I should NOT be moving faster; I was moving as fast as my body will let me. DH say he is trying to "toughen" me up. I told him that I was quite tough, thank you very much and that perhaps he needs to just slow down some and enjoy the sun, sky and beautiful day! hehehehehe...

I did the same! We went to the movies one week after surgery and sat in those expensive big comfy chairs...well they WEREN'T comfy at all, the movie was deadly boring and the drive home was painful. I felt feverish afterwards. I look back now and think how silly I was! but it seemed like it might be a good idea at the time!

It gets better. heaps. we are off to the movies again tomorrow and I think it will be great.

Yes, it is amazing what we think will be simple, causes discomfort! I went to the mall on Saturday thinking no big deal, but boy, did I pay for it that night with weakness and bleeding! ( I am ok, the dr. was notified)

R U Still Tired?

Two days after the surgery I felt pretty good. No pain meds energy. Now here I am 16 days out and I feel worse than I felt the first week. I am really tired and now I feel past uncomfortable. I have slowed down quite a bit and I sleep a lot. I thought I would really be on the mend and planned to get back to work early June. That may change now.

Are you feeling better yet?
