Vivelle Dot

I was wondering how the Vivelle Dot dosage compares to oral. Is it 1/10 of the dose? .075 = .75 or is it 1/20? .075 = 1.5. I am just curious and would apppreciate help understanding the difference.

Thanks and I hope everyone has a great Memorial Day!

My Dr used a chart to look it up and I don't know the formula but 1 mg of the estradiol pill is the equivalent of .05 Vivelle Dot patch. I hope that helps.

Hi Musiclover,

Thanks for the info! Does anybody know what an average dose would be? I know it's very individual - I'm just trying to figure out what a low or high dose would be.

I think the .05 Vivelle is on the low end for women without ovaries. I would consider the .075 or the .1 as an average dose. Some women need more than the .1, some even need 2 of the .1 patches! That is what I would consider a high dose.

Hi CaJen,

Thanks for the answer. I think you are probably right with the .075 and 1.0 being average. I see you are using DHEA how do you like it? I've been reading the Savy Women's Guide to Testosterone. I don't know if my GP would prescribe it for me but have heard and read some interesting things about it!

Thanks again,

I don't notice a difference since taking DHEA. I asked my Dr to prescribe testosterone since my blood tests showed I was low. She wanted to try DHEA first to see if that would bring it up. I also read Saavy Woman's Guide to Testosterone. I have quite a few symptoms of low T. I wish my Dr would just let me have some T. UGH!! Well, if she doesn't see my T come up then she said she would give me some compounded T. I just have to wait a bit.
