WINE Clubs... anyone ever join one???

My husband and I use to do a wine of the month club (we had shipments scheduled for every 8 wees). We received wines from around the world and it was fun. Rarely received a 'dud'and if you did they would happily replace it, free of charge.

Anyway.. my question is re: your experience... anyone ever do this? Do you currently? Have any clubs to suggest? I can't remember which one we did at all, it was about 4-5 years ago!

I am interested in trying it again. Was kinda pricey but I thought it was great fun. Like getting a tasty surprise every other month. I enjoyed it. Not sure why we stopped it. I am guessing money was a big factor.

Any input would be great :-)

WINE Clubs... anyone ever join one???

Yes, I belong to a wine club. Have been a member of the Tuscan Club for about 5 years now. It is a winery that we visited on our honeymoon. Dh surprised me with the membership about 5 years ago at Christmas time as he knew how much I loved their wines. I receive 2 bottles each month. Sometimes they throw in a third. The wine club I belong to is thru Viansa Winery in Sonoma, CA. They have several different levels of memberships and you can choose whether you want white wines, red wines or a mixture of both. They also have specialty food items, such as pestos and oils. Everything I have tried is delicious.

WINE Clubs... anyone ever join one???

I like to try new wines. I love to do wine tastings. I used to like a very small range and it has broadened over the last few years. I've thought about a wine club but haven't joined one yet. I may just have to do that
I have a subscription to Wine Spectator magazine & enjoy their articles.

We used to belong to the The Tuscan club- a Christmas gift from my parents for several years. I loved the recipes and using the wine with them. My parents lived in Sonoma and we visited the Viansa winery and also the deli that was (is?) to be on the square in Sonoma. We now get wine from another winery in Sonoma- Gundlach Bundschu.
