low dose vs. higher dose

I am having trouble trying to figure out my HRT dosages. I am taking the bio-identical creams (estradiol 0.5 (80:20) 2.5 mg/ML with Bi-Est 80:20 2.5 mg/ML)

I have been applying this cream every morning for the past 10 days. I have been keeping a journal, as suggested, and a lot of my symptoms are improving (not great but better) except for the crying. If anything - the crying episodes have gotten worse.

I plan to call the compounding pharmacy once I can pull myself together but would like to hear from my sisters to see if they have any advice.

low dose vs. higher dose

Donna,
You are still very early post op. It can take some time for things to level out and achieve balance, which for many of us does not happen overnight, especially this early in the recovery period. Your body has stored reserves of hormones, which can take some time to use up. This and the stress of recoverying from surgery can cause many fluctuations in your levels, thus causing symptoms.

I would hesitate to do too much tweaking at this point. If you are noticing improvements that is a good thing I know it's difficult, but patience really is a virtue during this time.

in there and give it some more time. Sounds like you are doing all the right things.

I'm wondering if you might benefit from doing half your dosage in the AM and half in the PM? That helped me. Although for me it was headaches, not crying...It's always something
I wish you the best. I think you're on a pretty "medium" level dose. If you're getting .5 estradiol, that's a fairly low-medium dose (close to what I'm on with BiEst) As Kim said, if you're feeling some better, that's a good thing.
Hang in there
