movies for recovery???

Hi girls. What a great forum this is. I'm so glad to have the chance to chat with all of you brave women who are facing the same thing!

I have this bad problem with overdoing it after surgery. Something about the pain killers making me feel like superwoman. I believe I can clean the entire house in a single bound! This time, I decided to stock up on movies, magazines, and fun girly stuff (lotions, nail polish, etc...) My hope is to feel like I'm spa-ing. Maybe you all can help me with the movie stockpile?

So my question is: What is your favorite movie of all time/ or have you seen any recent movies that were fun?

Thanks for the help! (6 days to the castle and counting!)

I watched Under the Tuscan Sun and enjoyed it. Tried a couple others, but that was the best.
Best wishes for a relaxing recovery - Joanne

I am a Jane Austen fan so I watched the DVDs of all of her novels. Also love "The Bucaneers" - it's five hours long!

I'm a huge "chick flick" kinda girl. I loved 27 dresses, Juno, Georgia Rule, The Holiday, and The Family Stone(sorta a tear jerker).

I watched a little bit of everything.
My Big Fat Greek Wedding (keep your pillow handy)
The Phantom of the Opera (I watch this one every chance I get)
Tombstone (Val Kilmer plays the BEST Doc Holliday ever!)
I just picked up Sweeney Todd with Johnny Depp. It's pretty dark and bloody, but if you like Johnny Depp, it was really good. (sick, dark humor)
Dream Girls
Mean Girls
I watched Sex in the City DVDs
I really needed to keep myself out of trouble by watching movies as well.

I love romances and comedies. Some of the favorites I watched while recouperating were: Sleepless in Seattle, The American President, A League of Their Own, Overboard and Father of the Bride. Good luck with your surgery.
