Unhappy - Week 4 and I'm getting discouraged Week 4 and I'm getting discouraged

Hi new sisters! I'm not sure how to navigate the site yet, but I had my tvh, tvt, uteral-sacral suspension (don't know how that works when I now have no uterus), and major posterior repair on May 9th. I kept my ovaries but I am having very hormonal symptoms (very weepy, hot (not sweaty) episodes, underarm odor which I have never had much of in the past, and oh did I happen to mention weepy??????). I'm 47 years old, four weeks post-op and I'm still tired and sore. I'm known for being a tough cookie, but right now I'm not feeling so tough. Shouldn't I be feeling better by now?

Week 4 and I'm getting discouraged

to Hyster Sisters!

I'm sorry that you aren't feeling as well as you hoped to feel at this point in recovery. Early recovery can be trying--and it doesn't help if the hormones are not cooperating.

You're welcome to post a new thread, like you did here, over on the Post-Op message board. Those who can relate will be able to reply on your thread to offer encouragement, support and shared experiences. I'm sure you are not alone in how you are feeling.

I'm sending gentle s and best wishes for better days soon to come.
