Black Heel from Anesthesia

Has anyone ever had this happen? My epidural wore off unevenly! My left leg was working sooner than my right. It was several hours (8-10) before my right leg worked...as a result my heel turned black from pressure/lack of use....the nurses didn't turn it nor move it for me...I was wearing the long white stockings just before surgery and into the next day post-op. I was told by phone it would resolve itself eventually. Still have not had anyone look at it....I know it sounds yucky...there is also a deep crack from dryness.

Luminata

I'm so sorry you've experienced this ~ it sounds very uncomfortable.

Please don't hesitate to have your leg examined ~ especially if it doesn't improve very shortly, or if the crack deterioriates.

Will you let us know how you get on? Take care!
