I wore pants!!!

All right, I know it sounds silly, but I was tickled yesterday when I attempted to put on my favorite pair of jean capris and not only did they fit fine (swelling some still), but they weren't uncomfortable!! So after a little happy dancing just to celebrate my major accomplishment a day shy of 2 weeks post-op, I made my dh take me on a lunch date!! And then a short stroll around Earth Fare for some much needed fruit!! But honestly, after a few hours they had to go, since the swelling worsens as the day goes on, but it was a glorious feeling to feel "normal" in my regular pants for awhile. Although, I must admit, I have gotten accustomed to my happy bamboo pants that my best gf sent me as a get-well gift since they are super soft, drawstringed(is that a real word?) and so thin so they keep me cool!!! But nothing beats my regular pants for sure!!!

I wore pants!!!

Oh it sure does feel good. I put a pair of stretchy capri's on to go to my 2 week post op visit Monday and felt so comfortable and pretty. It felt so good to get out of those pajamas. But like you said, it only lasts a short time and after about three hours, I too was ready to go home and get them off.

I wore pants!!!

I think that was my happiest day when I put on "real" clothes! I wore pajamas for almost 3 weeks. Then I realized I still had some pants leftover from before I lost weight. I wear those all the time, even though they are quite a bit big. I've gained weight since surgery, so my regular size pants can be uncomfortable. Hmmm...makes me want to go try them on again!!

I wore pants!!!

I must say nothing made me feel better than when I got up, took a shower, and put on some real clothes. Of course I had to sit in my recliner with the pants unzipped...but still felt good

That's awesome!!! I've been wearing baggy tie front shorts, because my stomach is still very swollen (6 days post SAH/BSO). I have a job interview Monday, so I'm hoping I lose some of it by then, or I'll be interviewing in my pj's

It would be funny, LOL, but I think I'd be standing out - in the parking lot!

Another comfy thing to get around in that seems to be in fashion with a lot of people is to get some scrubs. They have them at Walmart if you want them less expensive than medical supply stores. The more you wear them, the more comfy they are.
I just wore yoga pants or the "windbreaker" material for running pants until I didn't feel quite so bloated and am completely in normal clothing now, including jeans.
