2 weeks post-op and still pain

Hello all , hope everyone is doing ok. I am now two weeks post-op from removal of left ovary and and lots of adhesions. Cyst on left ovary of unknown nature, no pathology back yet. (no news is good news??) I`m still having a lot of pain. not so much from my insision, but my whole lower abdomin. The first week, my meds were changed, and I ended up vomiting alot, was put back on T3`s, Have also been taking Dyclophenac (anti-inflamatory). I am now out of both of them and taking over the counter T1`s which are not helping nearly enough. I am embarrased to go back to DR for more pain meds, he`s going to think I`m a druggy or something. Maybe I`m doing to much, I`m trying not to. I feel so bruised, and tender, anything touching my skin (panties, sun dress) causes so much irritation. Funny thing is, I have had three C-sections, hysterectomy, and 4 laparoscopy, and I can`t seem to remember this much pain this far out of surgery( I guess I was alot younger). Any one else about the same post op and feeling like this? DH is really after me to go back to DR. Sorry this is so long, maybe it`s a bit of a pitty party, and my mood swings have hit Thanks for listening, any advise would be great.

2 weeks post-op and still pain

Sorry your still having pain. You can join my club if you want. LOL I had a hemorrhagic cyst removed off my right ovary in March, along with adhesion removal. A couple weeks later I started having pain again. Can't seem to get anything done about it. Gyn put me on Neurontin. The pharmacy was out, and haven't heard anything since Monday. Called this morning, and it turns out it's been discontinued. I tryed to call my gyn yesterday, and was told by staff that I need to talk to him. Ya think he could call me back? Nope! My primary doesn't agree with the treatment plan. Gyn is passing it off as nerve pain. I feel like I'm being branded from the inside out. I'm an emotional wreck. I feel like I've been put on the back burner. I'm sorry, I really don't have any advice right now except to call your doctor. You can't just live with the pain. I was tender for the first few weeks after my laparoscope. If he's a good understanding doctor, he'll understand your not a druggie. Unfortunatly for me, it's looking more and more like I have to just deal with my pain. Afraid to tick anyone off if I keep bothering them, but then I feel like I'm the patient, and I'm the one that matters right now. I'm sorry I can't offer you more. Don't get down on yourself. Your the only one that know's what your feeling.

Leeleeann,
I agree with your dh, you should call the doctor if the pain is not getting any better. Granted, we all do heal at different rates, I have found that with each additional surgery it takes me longer to recover. That said, it is always best to check with the doctor if you are concerned or feel that something is not normal for you.

Thank you Sweetbeetle and Kim. I seem to be having a little better day and All I have done is lay around, yup thats it, just me and the sofa.....lol it would seem I was doing to much. I am going to the DR tomorrow, because I am still very tender. As long as I don`t move things are good. Sweetbeetle, I know what you mean by being branded from the inside out, that really explains this pain very well, think I will use that term at DR office. I am sorry that you are having so many problems this far out, but ahesions are nasty little things. This is not my first time dealing with them, but I do hope it is the last. I hope you are feeling better very soon.
