Hi, I have a question, Does the gel of estrogel help the hormones to go into the system slower? I called all 3 different companys and they said they were all different... I have tried Elestrin and it was so slow absorption my head felt funny, so dr. said try evamist, that seems faster but it doesnt last long. so is the gels formulated to make the hormones go in the system slower or its it just a gel that the hormones are in .... Thanks

I don't use the gels, but do use hrt in a cream form. I have found that the different bases I have used do affect my absorption rate. Also, where I apply the creams can also affect the absoprtion. I don't think there is one right answer here, it all depends on your skin, where you apply and how quickly or slowly your system absorbs the gel.

has anyone ever used 4 pumps of estrogel a day?? I am switching from Estraderm 100 to estrogel and my doctor said the equivalent would be 4 pumps at the same time each day, it just seems like too much to me and reading on here i haven't seen anyone else with that dose????? Need help figuring this all out.. Also wondering if the vivelle dot might be easier?? I needed to change because the patch was falling off and the Climara gave me a rash..
