Surgery tomorrow; bowel prep tonight

I am currently doing to phophosoda bowel prep. I drank it straight with 4 oz of cold water. Yuck. Been 1 1/2 hours; waiting for the fallout. I can only imagine what it will be like when I take the 4 dulcolax.

I am scheduled for a LSH but the Dr. said I could change to a TVH so I do not need general anethesia. I think I am going to do the TVH because I get sick for days with general.

Blessing to those going to surgery soon.

Hi Lori. I am having surgery tomorrow as well. Just drank my 10 oz. Grape Flavor Magnesium Citrate. It didn't taste to bad but I had just had dinner. Soup. So my stomach was already full. It took every ounce of me not to get sick. I have to drink another one between 9-10pm. Get to castle tomorrow by 10:30 am, surgery scheduled at 12:30 p.m. I am having the davinci. Good luck to you tomorrow as well.

I'll be joining you next week....

I am scheduled for my TLH/BSO on the 14th. I'll be anxious to know how you both do. Very anxious, nervous and overwhelmed. Just finished chemo for Breast Cancer. Still wiped out from that. I have a million worries and questions. Good Luck - I'll be thinking of you both.....

Good luck to all of you! That bowel prep is ROUGH! I think I felt worse when I was admitted because of how messed up my stomach was than when I woke up from surgery!

Good luck ladies!! The bowel prep is often one of the worse aspects of this journey along with the waiting!! Here is a little funny for you......DH and I had to travel 3 hours before surgery for my 5 a.m. check in time, I, too, drank my magnesium citrate only to learn the hotel toliet was stopped up!!!! DH went to the front desk and stressed the need to have this fixed asap........no maintenace man on site!!! They gave DH the plunger and we plinged all night!!

Hugs to all my sisters
