Sandy

Hey girl here are some take one as needed. I know that isn't much help but things do get better. What kind, if any, of hrt are you on? Depression comes with lack of esterogen, or least it does in my case. I am on an anti-depressant now and have been for a year. I got the moody depression thing after my surgery and it was because my hrt was too low. The changed it and left. I am now in the process of changing to a twice a week patch. I am feeling the sweats and aniexty again. When you have a problem let someone here know we have some wonderful sisters who can at least let you know what some of the problems are. Always call your and find out what they want you to do. Good Luck!!

can not stand myself!!

Dear cats,

I'm so sorry you're so blue, but that's SO normal for this stage of things...you're more fragile, inside and out. Your body has been through so much, and I well remember how it felt for me at that stage. Your countless internal stitches have probably started to dissolve, leaving very weak tissues to take over. Your hormones are on a rollercoaster ride.

What are these "simple" things you're trying to do? Maybe you shouldn't be trying to do them at all. Please just stay in bed or on the couch when you're feeling this way, and call your Dr. if you need more help managing the pain, or even if you're concerned about the pain. Also, try using a heating pad...it can really calm down the inflammation.

Do you have enough help getting the things done that need doing? I'm talking about only the things that REALLY need doing, of course. Please line up all the help you need if you haven't already...call your friends and family in on the situation with no embarrassment. Your early recovery is a full 6-8 weeks long for this surgery. You deserve to be able to take it easy if at all possible as you've had MAJOR surgery.

Remember, you only have ONE chance to heal properly from this surgery, and this is it!

My very best to you...

Linda

can not stand myself!!

{{{{Sandy}}}} You're at the point in recovery when you're mentally ready to move on BUT can't do it physically. This creates all sorts of inner conflict...or it did with me. I had good days and bad days. IT DOES GET BETTER.

Don't rule out that the ovaries may still be in shock...and/or starting to wake up. Don't hesitate to call your gyn. if your mood continues...he/she may be able to prescribe something temporarily to help you through the rough spots.

can not stand myself!!

Sandy ..

(((( Hugs ))))) Hang in there girlfriend. There is so much going on inside of you right now that to know exactly what is happening would make your head spin.

The depression and mood swings are normal even tho you still have your ovaries .... they may be in shock and havent started kicking out what they normally do.

Im 3 weeks post op and Im starting to feel more like myself which for me is bad because now I think I can move mountains and do anything. Well, I cant. One small thing like folding laundry (that was brought to me of course) drains me and its irritating and makes me feel helpless and worthless.

We just need to know that we've been thru the ringer and alot has happened and that its going to take time and its ok to VEG!!! We deserve it .... take the time ..enjoy it and revel in the time that we are pampered ... because the time will come .. soon... that we will wish we could sit back and do nothing !!!

Hugs to you!!!

Can't Stand Yourself...

Sandy.

Listen. Whining.... Complaining..... Wondering.....
YOU'RE NORMAL WOMAN! YES.... NORMAL!
Give yourself credit! You've been though hell, and you're making your way back out! You'll be fine! One day at a time! Don't rush! (I know that's hard, but we have to do this SLOW)
I'm having a problem with yelling at anyone who comes near me too. Even though it HURTS to yell! I'm short tempered, I'm hurting, I'm unable to do simple things, and I'm just plain BI*C*Y!

From what I've read, and from what I've heard, we are not going crazy. We are NORMAL! Scarey eh? But this too shall pass. I started taking "Stress Vitamins" and that seems to help a little. Ask your doctor if it might work for you! I too have my ovaries.

Keep telling yourself that this will pass in time, it's not going to be like this forever, and that YOU ARE NOT ALONE! You have all us SISTERS to help you through this.

Email me if you want to vent! I'll listen and I'll always reply!

sandy, cant stand me either

Hey girl,
well, yeah,
I'm know how you feel.
I think that we just have to ride it out and things will get better
Both my girls, 16 and 20 are driving me nuts...and they should know better....my husband is at his friend's house right now,
all he said to me this afternoon was, "you're not going to cry again are you?"
So, I think that's how it is for a little bit...anyone else have any comments for us hormonal sisters?
Crystal
PS I don't even feel like puttin' smileys on my post...wah
