Home from surgery

Thanks for all your replies. I am home from surgery and will not soon forget the bowel prep. The hotel plunger story made me laugh Thanks.

I have to say though, the recover after surgery is far worse than the full phosposoda prep. I do not do anethesia and narcotics well. I was so sick and vomiting for 36 hours. They made me stay and extra night in the hospital.

Hey, recovery is on the way. I am so grateful for the surgery and immediate recovery going so well. I praise God for this blessing and and so grateful to all of you on this site.

I had horrible gas pain in my shoulder last night and my husband got on This Site to look for info.

I hope others recovery is going well too.

Glad to hear you are home and on your way to recovery. I took the pills for my bowel prep. To me that's the only way to go. You take 32 over a period of time, 4 at a time. They started working on me in about 15 minutes. I started the pills at 3 or 4 that afternoon and was cleaned out by 10:30 that night. Don't know about others, but I had no cramping at all, it was really pretty easy. I didn't eat a lot for a couple of days before the prep either, I think that helps. Worse thing was my raw butt, there's got to be something to help with that.

uuuggghhhhh.... I had to pinch my nose shut to drink the stuff, and then start drinking grape koolaid right away before letting go of my nose, it was the only way I could get it down and keep it down.
Because you're not "smelling" it, it only tastes horrible instead of incredibly gross and disgusting. Drink something right away with a strong flavor you like, and your brain looses the bad taste much quicker.
