Question - Hemmoragic cysts questions ?????? Hemmoragic cysts questions ??????

Hi i had my first Hemmoraggic cyst about a year ago measured 2.5cm it ruptured since then had a couple more. Been told everything would heal.Had pelvic pain and back pain ( lower) since then. Been to specialists had a laparoscopy done - they found too much peritoneal fluid apparently drained it and sent some for testing - no results yet. They said my ovaries etc fine no endo etc.
However been told i may have to go on hormone treatment or have ovaries removed ???
Anyone else have the same prob or know about this peritoneal fluid ????

Hemmoragic cysts questions ??????

pixii, Here is a link that has some information on cysts http://www.parkermd.com/ovarian-cysts.htm . I am not familiar with the peritoneal fluid, hopefully someone will be along with some info on that. I had a hemorrhagic cyst that ruptured and ended up having my ovaries removed a month later. I sympathize with you on the pain, it can be so miserable. I wish you the best and hope your feeling better soon.
Lots of 's,
Carol

Hemmoragic cysts questions ??????

pixii,

I had a hemorrhagic cyst removed in March. Gosh, for a 3cm cyst, it was quite painful. Nobody said anything about having my ovaries removed. In fact, they're wanting to keep them in as long as possible, due to the blood clot I had following the hyst. I can't ever be on hormones either now, because I have a "history". I don't know what's up with the fluid. I'll have to look it up now though. You have my curiosity going. I hope all goes well for you!

Hi Pixii,
Not sure about the fluid, but I had emergency surgery on Friday morning to remove my right ovary which was my remaining ovary from my hysterectomy in Sept 2007. It had developed 2 large cysts, and a blood clot which was strangling the blood supply. I was in severe pain all day, almost passing out 3 times and dry-heaving. I'm now on Premarin because I no longer have any ovaries, but I'm so glad I'm not in the pain I was last Thursday.
Good luck!
