Post-op 6 wks still bleeding and in pain

Hi. Just had my 6 week post op with my specialist ob/gyn oncologist. I had a LAVH/ooph for endo, adomyosis, pelvis congestion syndrome and ovarian cysts. I had a lot of questions about my pain and bleeding. I have to thank this site for helping me make my list of questions. He said I bleed for up to three months and some times after that. He said the pain, the buring is all due to the fact that I had major surgery and needed to relax and heal. He said, his job is done and my next follow up should be with my regular ob/gyn in about 4 weeks. I was in shock. The numbness on my left side was due to sugery and might return eventually. What am I to say. I thank God everyday for giving me a loving, understanding and compasionate husband. Without him and this site I would go crazy. It makes me feel good to vent. I just feel that I should have been more informed as to what to expect after surgery and I guess a little more sensitivity and compasion from my drs. I hope this helps someone.

I am being a princess.\

(((TH)))

I am SO sorry for the pain and bleeding you are having and especially the treatment you were given by your specialist. How to some of these people become doctors/surgeons with such horrible bedside manners????

So many hugs for you girl.

Glad you have such a wonderful H, and keep posting here.

And personally, if I were you, I would follow up with my regular doctor right away, especially if you need medications to help with your pain.

Hugs

Jess:

Thanks so much for your support. I think I will follow up sooner with my regular dr. I also agree with you and don't understand how some drs have terrible bedside manners. Anyway I am definitely looking forward to feeling better soon.

YW girl!

Definitely follow up with your regular doc. I've found my regular general practioner to be much more kind than any OB/GYN I've gone to. Even ER docs too!

I'm am close to you as far as our surgeries go. Again, I'm sorry for all you are going through.

If it were me, I would make an appt ASAP with your regular doctor.

Let us know what you decide.

Hugs,
Jess XOX
