uti that wont go away??

hi i am post up about 13 weeks and I have had a uti for about two to three weeks now. I have just finished my second round of antibiotics...and still feel as if it is still here. has this happened to anyone else?? also i am spotting with this and the doctor says it is b/c of the infection.. I have never had a uti before this.. so any info will be gladly appreciated. i have no pain the only reason i thought i had one was b/c i was peeing all the time. and the spotting which we thought was due to sex but apparently was not. i feel so frustrated, i thought the road to recovery was over...i was at 10 weeks when all this happened! I have yet to have sex besides the one time so far and it is just so slow and frustrating with this infection. any advice??

uti that wont go away??

Hi Evalred

sorry u're experiencing this with the uti. have you tried taking the cranberry pills? it is an all natural method of fighting recurrent infections. i think the brand is call AZO Cranberry (drugstore brands are available too). i started taking this since i had a uti also after a few days after i came home from hospital. i hope this will prevent another one from coming back.

good luck with getting it cleared away!

uti that wont go away??

Don't feel alone. I had my hysterectomy over 6 months ago and I still have problems. Just because you are at 13 weeks does not mean that you are healed. If takes time. I do feel much better than I did before surgery but sometimes I have pains that I know are from the surgery. I haven't had UTI's but i have had bladder infections. I had 2 back to back. I think I am better now, but boy were they painful. I think getting these infections comes with having the surgery. Thanks Endo-One for the advice about taking AZO. I may try that myself. Hope all of my sisters are doing well.
