Should I ask my doctor about hormone therapy?

I don't understand the about the hormones given after hysterectomy. My dr hasn't discussed this with me. Maybe because I had problems with taking them before surgery. I had endo, adenomyosis and pelvic congestion syndrome. I never had a hard time sleeping but I wake up to heart palpatations, sweats and then I can't go back to sleep.

I am eight weeks post-op and still having pain and one infection after the other. At my next drs visit should I initiate the hormone question or wait for him?

Also, no one told me about what to expect after surgery.

I hope you all feel better. Sending you BIG HUGS!

I'm sorry to hear that you are struggling so. By all means, ask! And if you don't understand the answer or need more information, keep asking. The more you know, the better you able you are to care for yourself. If you are on the shy side, take someone with you who will press for answers if needed. Good luck!
