Last memory before la-la land

It all came back to me yesterday, I was wheeled into OR, saw my doc, saw the stainless steel bucket with a plastic bag in it (i guess for my parts), asked him why I was still awake and looking at the huge light over the operating table, saw OR nurse strap IV hand down, and anesthesiologist strap the other hand down. (didn't like that AT ALL) And asked again why I still saw the light over me? That was it until 4 hours later. ANybody else remember??

Last memory before la-la land

I don't remember this but.. my husband told me that as they were wheeling me to the OR (I was given something through the IV prior) that I yelled out, "don't let them steel my Ipod while I'm gone." How embarassing!!

Last memory before la-la land

I was talking about what I was going to eat when I came out of surgery~ stuffed mushrooms from Red Lobster, potato skins from Applebees and a frosty, barely got it out and that was it. The doctor was cracking up at later when he saw me actually eating it within an hour!

Last memory before la-la land

All I remember was saying goodbye to my DH in the hall, crying as I was being wheeled into the OR, and the nurse handing me a couple tissues. I saw 3 nurses, but no one else. I was instructed to put my left arm out (had an IV in it) and they put warm blankets on me, and that was it until I started waking up the recovery room, which I never even saw. I felt myself being wheeled down the hall to my room and the best blessing of all right then was to hear my husband's voice. I knew I made it and he was right there with me again!

Last memory before la-la land

I remember not liking the oxygen mask over my face....made me feel claustrophobic for some strange reason. And then hearing someone say, "take nice deep breaths..." That's it.

Last memory before la-la land

I remember it was very cold in the room. There were a lot of people moving around and looking serious (nurses, main doctor , 2 resident student doctors and some others) and machines.

The very last memory is my left arm being pulled out from under the blanket and laid on this table for the IV and then I was OUT.

They said I snored When I get put to sleep, it is VERY hard for me to wake up. I have NO memory of anything until the next day, but the nurses said I pushed the pain button all night.

My family said after I was wheeled to the room, I was talking to them in delayed timing, but I dont remember that either.

Last memory before la-la land

I remember entering the operating room and them telling me to put my left arm straight out and them strapping it down and then they told me to put my right arm straight out and they strapped that down. And then I felt someone down by my legs, I looked down and around and remember seeing 3 nurses and 2 other men, neither was my doctor. And the person that was down by my legs said she was strapping my legs down so I was secure to the table so I wouldn't fall off. And that was it until I woke up in recovery but don't remember it that much. I remember moaning alot three different times and when I was fully awake I was in my regular room. I don't remember leaving the recovery room or how I even got in my own bed in the room. At the time I didn't think about it but now I feel like I have memory lapse of it all. Like there is holes in my experience. I know it ws because of the drugs. But to think about it now it is really wierd to wake up in your room and not realize how you got there and how.

Last memory before la-la land

Wow I don't remember much. I remember them giving me something to "relax" and started to be wheeled to the 'OR' and barely making it to the first corner outside the door from the prep room. Next thing I remember was waking up with a nurse next to me in recovery.
I guess I really did relax LOL
I did think it was strange that I was in recovery still knocked out longer than I was in surgery, DH said surgery was 2.5 hours long and I was in recovery for 3.5 hours. Anyone else?

Last memory before la-la land

I remember getting my versed for a sedative, being rolled across the hall to the OR, being told to scoot over to the table and told to breathe the oxygen (they lied, it wasn't oxygen!) and I was out. I remember waking up in recovery asking what my pain was on a scale of 1-10 and getting pain meds. Was rolled into the elevator up to the 3rd floor into my room. DH followed shortly after! Was glad to see him!

Last memory before la-la land

I remember asking my anesthesiologist if I could have another shot of the good stuff. Then I remember the mask going over my face and him saying nighty-night. hahahahah Being wheeled back to my room I remember this big picture of Micky and Minnie mouse. They had me next to the kids ward....NICE! I kept talking about how I needed to go find Mickey.
hahahahahahahha

I could use some of those "drugs" at work here today!!!
