aug 9 to "castle" and my first post....sowwy very long

ive been to busy reading all these wonderful posts to post myself ....<shame on me>ill try to make this brief..lol, first of all im on a new mission to have all women to NEVER procastinate in getting the yearly exam, i am one that did and thats why im scheduled to become a princess tomarrow.
in april i felt a buldge in lower abdomin and thought well its just a few days b 4 my cycle and thats normal....than i went to put my jeans on july 9th and they didnt fit and i felt there again and it had like trripled in size, i called my family dr and they got me in the next day, i called him cause i didnt have a obgyn due to never getting a pap done regularly<g>...he immediatly did ultra sound and had multiple fibroids measuring 20 weeks, he looked at me and said u need to get them out of there and you'll have to have a hysterectomy....wow for someone that never goes to the dr, this was a lot for me to take in, i couldnt get in to obgyn till the 27 of july..so i waited while i felt "et" growing inside me, im thinking im goner give birth here soon and have to buy "them"cloths/lol
so mind u ladies, i had a long 3 weeks to blame myself for not going to the dr since my 11 yr old son was born..and this whole time i was being very selfish in only worrying about my job that was to start aug 21st, this would be my second year at a title I tutor, after being in another profession for 20 years...iluv my job and miss my kids and could wait to return to them, i just wanted the quickest posible thing done due to me not being in the union and afraid of loosing this job.....please dont think i made made this decision of becoming a princess to quickly...THIS IS THE BEST THING FOR ME AND MY FAMILY...my dr is very thoural, and we instantly became connected...she gave me many options of Uterian Artety Emboliziams, mymomectomy, and hyster....my "et" friends are to big for the first porcedure, and location and amount of "et" and company, she doesnt feel is safe for me to try to save my uterus with all those cuts....been married to the most wonderful man for 14 years and and a beautiful 11 yr old son, we hadnt planned on having any more children so the hyster is the best for me....
my dr wouldnt be able to get me into surgery till sept, but bless her heart..she is canceling morning appointments to come in and do my surgery for me so i can get back to work sooner....some feel im making my decision to quickly, but this would have to be done sooner or later....if i would take the wait and see approach so i could get thru till next summer break if has only gotten bigger and would hate to see how big it would be by next june....she even said that.....she says she feels no reason that she cant try and keep my overies due to me only being 37....and btw, i have had no symptoms of any kind in having these fibroids(except "et"growing)just awful cramps that would wake me up for one week out of the month and ive had that all my life so i lived with them....
so in closing, i thank u all for the wonderful informative post throught out this whole web page..i see there are quite a few of us to become princess tomarrow and we'll all be thinking of each other.....now its time to stop and oil my fingers..sowwy for being so long winded....i dont even know how to make those cute little characters in here could some one let me know?...

p.s. my DH was wondering if there was a place for them to post or go for support...they really do take alot of the brunt)
be safe ladies Wendy

Hello and welcome Dillards. You'll find lots of comfort here...glad you found us.

When you post...look at the left side of the page - you'll find the smilies there. There are 6 showing but click on "get more" and you'll see the rest.

Again, welcome to hystersisters. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Please post when you get home AND feel up to it...but above all REST.

Hi Wendy,

Welcome aboard.

Sorry you're having trouble, but it sounds like you're getting it dealt with in short order. Good for you - no use suffering.

There's not a board here for our DHs, but mine spent a lot of time reading the messages, and it helped him a lot to understand and feel more comfortable with the whole thing. He's a lovely person, and very supportive, but not one who felt comfortable around doctors or hospitals at all. (Quite a lot better now.)

Before you run off and give the web site address to your DH, remember that he'll be able to read all your posts. That was fine with me, because I didn't have anything rotten to say about him. Just something to consider - you'll be giving up your "privacy" here.

Like I've told a few other Aug. 9 sisters, that's my birthday, and for you it will be a new beginning. So I'll be thinking lots of good thoughts for y'all, all day.
