anyone waitress part time or full time after TAH/BSO?

I have been working as a waitress on Fri and Sat for the last year so that I could be at home with my little kids during the week. I got the ok from doc at 6 week, but he suggested I not work a full shift. I am not 8 weeks and I cannot handle 3 hours, my employer called me last night and wants to have a letter from my doctor before I come back to work saying that I can work "at full capacity". I feel like I am being forced to quit. I don't know what I can do until I am doing it. It's not exactly breaking my heart if I have to quit, I just wonder how long it should take before a person should be able to do that kind of physical work. I would love some input.

Thanks for letting me know what you have been through - I feel like I am a wimp because I thought I should be back to normal after 6-8 weeks. That's not the case at all. I thought my employer was being great with me, but I suppose they need to get someone to replace me if I can't do what they need. They have waited a long time as it is. I just feel bad.

Thanks and best to you!
