Looking for a compounding pharmacist and info about compounded hormones

Hey, y'all!

I was just reading some of the articles in the Hormone Jungle page here and it mentions one of the guides, Lauren the compounding pharmacist, having an article or info guide about progesterone and/or other HRT issues. I don't think my doctor is a big fan of compounding or progesterone and would like to help convince/educate her on the positives of this kind of therapy. I have looked thru the Members and found her, but it says her last activity was in 2004, ahhhh! Can someone tell me where to find her or tell me how to get hold of the HRT info so that I can discuss it with my doctor tomorrow at my 2wk post-op? I appreciate your help, ladies!

Lauren sold her pharmacy a few years back. While you may not be able to locate her, there are many compounding pharmacies. Most pharmacists can help to educate your doctor about the compounded hormones. This site www.iacprx.org has a pharmacy locator.

As you're in a hurry, you can start by printing out some of the articles you located in the Hormone Jungle. Than you can start calling some of the pharmacies in your area and talk with them.

Try bellevue pharmacy as well out of st Louis. I don't think they charge a fee, only ask that you purchase your supplements through them.

I do think it's important in the beginning to have a one on one relationship with your pharmacist. Balance isn't easy for many of us and it can be difficult to get thru this with a long distance relationship with your pharmacist. If it were me, I would look for someone close to home first, if that fails, than you could try a long distance pharmacy. Just my worth.

I found two local compounding pharmacies since surgery. I checked the link and didn't find any in the town I live in. Had some in the same state though. Can I add them to the list, or is there a way to do that?
