Sudden Bleeding 23 days after TAH/BSO

Is it normal to bleed suddenly 23 days after a TAH/BSO? I was at a cookout just sitting and talking and suddenly I started bleeding. I have been spotting very little most days but this is a bright red and it actually freaks me out a bit. So now I am just lying down on the couch hoping it will stop. It has slowed a little. I am wondering if I should be calling the doctor or not. Has anyone had this issue?

Yes you should call the Doctor. If you kept your cervix then it may be coming from there but without overies that is doubtful. You should not be bleeding and the only other place that can come from is the vaginal cuff which should not be bleedingby this stage.

I am going to be blunt. You should not be checking this out online, you should be talking to your doctor, now.

Red blood is fresh blood( as opposed to the discharge, etc that some us still have) .. there should be no bright red fresh blood coming out of you at this stage as you should have no fresh wounds. . Period.

Yes, it is a good idea to lay down( it is a weekend so its not easy to run off to doctors office, and if ony a small amount is coming out then perhaps you can wait till monday am, ( but be watchful) , you most likely have overdone it..
