Serious dizziness... anyone else?

Overall I have had an excellent recovery. Yesterday, though, I began getting dizzy in the afternoon. I only took one percocet and other than that I have the villeviedot patch. I am so dizzy today that I can barely get out of bed. So annoying because I am fine otherwise. Any tips?
thanks, diana

I notice that after the first two wks the percocet can cause the dizziness...You might want to consider cutting them in half or finding an alternate type of pain meds...Taradol works for me..I was feeling like the world was spinning after the first two weeks with the perks...too strong..
I also started taking just one a day till I weened myself off (scared cuz I really enjoyed not feeling the pain)..Now I am in my third week and I am just on Ibuprofen and sometimes taradol. Walk alot and still no lifting or bending- I also had an excellent recovery...

I have also experienced some dizziness. Not so bad that I could not get out of bed though. Meclizine is good for dizziness. It is the ingredient in bonnine and non-drowsy dramamine (motion sickness medicine). I know that hormones can make you dizzy, but if it continues or gets worse you might want to have your ears checked just to be sure.

Serious dizziness... anyone else?

Hi, are you under any stress? Are you drinking enough water? Do you have seasonal allergies? Besides pain meds these always get my dizziness going. All of which in the past gave me vertigo, and I couldnt get out of bed or walk!! I had to crawl to the bathroom when it first started. I wish you the best of luck. I saw see the Dr for sure to check all other things. If you check out OK, he can give you some anti vert meds.. GOOD LUCK!

I cannot take pain meds. I have dizziness, vertigo and severe nausea. The one good thing about no pain meds with my surgery was no side effects. I had plenty of pain, but no fogginess, dizziness, etc.

See if you can find the reason for the dizziness. If it is the pain pill, try and use less. Dizziness is NO fun. I hope you stop having it very soon.
