hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone else feels completely wiped out after doing the simplest errands.
I was bored and really tired of eating the stuff I had on hand in my house. so I decided to go grocery shopping last Wednesday. by the time I was done and got back home, I was exhausted.
I know healing takes time, but how long before you can do the simple things to keep your life going. I'm just getting really tired of being cooped up all the time.

Do you know what scares the most? It's the unpredictability of when I will be feeling ok, and when I'll be totally exhausted and in pain again!
As yourself, I'll do the smallest job and then immediately I'll be totally wiped OR it won't hit me straight away but maybe an hour later OR the next day.
And when I get exhausted and in pain all I want to do is lay in bed.
I havn't gone out of the house for fearing of not being able to return if the exhaustion hits me because it hits instantly!
I wonder too when we'll finally feel semi normal again.

Take care

I am 8 weeks post-op and still having exhaustion problems. I can feel good, then boom it will hit me and I feel like doing nothing but sleep. I started back to work this last week and called off 2 of the days. I know it will get better, I just have to be patient.

Good luck on your recovery.

I'm exhausted too, but can't sleep during the day, and not well at night. You'd think sleep would be easy being so tired.
Surely things will improve for us...Good luck!

To start with my period of rest was about equal to any period of activity but it does get better!

I also made sure that I had someone with me when I went out the first few times and made use of seats in shops and parks when I needed a break.

Going out is good for you, it helps you to feel part of the world again and nothing beats fresh air.

it really does help to know I'm normal!

I got out again for a little while Sunday.
it was nice. I did get a little tired, but
I rested when I needed to. and I stayed
for the whole event!
