LAVH 10-24 anyone else for that day?

HI my sisters,
I am scheduled for LAVH on Oct 24, doc visit on Oct 22 for final details.
I was wondering if anyone is scheduled for that day and what their anxieties etc, are.
I have gotten so much out of this site already! I have read the worst and the best of the stories and I am preparring for the worse, hoping for the best!
I would like to keep up with anyone that is having surgery the same day or close to it, so that we can help each other out!
Keep smiling!

Hugs to you,

LAVH 10-24 anyone else for that day?

Hi Sherri and Jeni
My date is 21st, so only 13 sleeps to go. Have so much I want to get done so I am really organised that part of me isn't ready but the other part just can't wait just to done with it. I know this is the right thing for me to do but am getting nervous now it is closer. I guess it's mostly just the fear of the unknown, have had two surgeries before but they were only minor. I am trying to concentrate on how I will feel after recovery and keep telling everybody that I am getting a new body. lol. Hugs to you both.

I find myself too Julie getting more anxious and nervous as the time is ticking closer. I am stressed at work trying to get everything in order, training in a new hire to do my work as I am gone, and then that person will become part time upon my arrival. I find myself waking up at 3am and not being able to sleep. So i'm welcoming post op, then i know this stage is over with! Keep smiling ladies! and keep in touch!

Hi,
Yes I am coping getting organised at home but my DH and I run our own business. So, I won't be replaced, will be working at home during most of my recovery so I am busy trying to get everything done so it will be easy for me. Can only imagine what my office will be like when I get back. lol. Nerves are really kicking in this week, just want it to be over.

I have found you can only do what you can do. The rest will be there waiting for me when I get back. I can't stress about it, I have to take all my personal and vacation for the year to do this operation. I am really hoping for a quick recovery. I do have the option to go in 1/2 days when I start feeling better, but its still weighing on my mind. I found this site as a good and bad thing! ha ha hearing the horror stories has me thinking. All the posts at least are honest and let you know what your in for.

Some of the stories on this site make me feel very well and at first I thought I could be making the wrong decision. But really I am grateful that I don't have the problems that some of the sisters have and I know that this is the right thing for me. I guess it is just human nature to wonder about your decision. I am really forward to feeling good, and having my "new body" of course. Only 11 sleeps to go now.

This is the right decision for us, its the unknown that we are scared of, but i'm so ready for this.

Yes I'm ready too, I am just a scaredy cat. I am the type to have everything organised so I can be calm and even though I have read and read about this, I have never done it before. lol.
Just got my mail and my new so soft robe has arrived and it's purple, the best colour. I decided I would shout myself new for the castle.
