Opinions needed - excision surgery

Hi Everyone,

I had my surgery last year and was doing great until the last few months when my old nemesis, Mr. Peritoneal Endo, reared his ugly head! I stopped using the patch and became pretty miserable shortly thereafter. I have managed to put on half a patch and not be quite so much like the Tin Man, but I know I'm not getting enough estrogen because my bones are popping and cracking all the time and I am so stiff. Supplements help a little bit with that.

I have an appointment with my doc next week and I figure he will want me to try a progestin, which I don't want because it riles my migraines up ( they have been 90% better since the hyst).

I am thinking I want to do excision surgery and hopefully be done with it. Do any of you ladies have any experiences or opinions on this?

Thanks for any help with this!

I went to a specialist in March, and am headed back down there in Nov. Excision in March took care of my endo, but now adeno is my problem, so going back to have a LSH.

I'd be happy to answer any specific questions you may have

Opinions needed - excision surgery

I have had two excision surgeries by a doc in CA. They were the best surgeries I have had and the most relief I have had from pain. But they have not kept my endo from coming back. I have not had a hyst yet, have had one ovary removed.

If you can afford the surgery I would NOT hesitate one minute and would go forward with it.
