Anyone else have Low Malignant Potential Tumors?

I had my first LMP tumor on my right ovary in 2002, and the pathology on my left ovary just returned with the same diagnosis. My doctor told me that LMP tumors can recur in other areas of the body. Has anyone else had this experience? I was SO hoping that this recent surgery would be my last. Ugggghhhh. I am so sad right now.

LMP -- me, too!

My hysterectomy found LMP tumors on both of my ovaries. The surgery was done eight years ago and I am doing well. The one good thing about LMP is that the tumors are "lazy" and surgery is done rather than chemo. Hopefully you will be ok after this surgery. My Gyn-Onc (referred to me by the Gyn surgeon) said that I had a 6-7% chance of a recurrence. He then added that surgery would be done rather than chemo because the type tumors I had don't respond to chemo.

Please feel free to send me a private message.
