Home after surgery

I am through surgery and home.
I am embarrassed to say how big mine was...the doc estimated it weighed .....30-40 pounds...but he told my husband it felt closer to 40...the lab said it weighed in at 20 pounds...the doc said there is some discrepancy when it goes to the lab because all the blood drains out of it which can add to the weight....whatever "Frankenstein" weighed 20 or larger he was big...there were 15 total all kind of jammed together and so we named the whole thing Frankenstein.... He measured my uterus at 58 centimeters.
My hubby and I thought it would be larger than the last one (it was 9 pounds)...but we were floored when the doc came out with the weight...I had looked progressively more and more pregnant in the last few months...but some of it was growing internally and didn't really show.

The doc said it looked like a huge frozen turkey....he is in the process of getting the photo and when I get it I will try to post it....
My vertical incision extends above my belly button.

I am doing okay one week later...the hospital I was at was overtaxed and I ended up in recovery for 2 days! My organs were in great shape...my one thing I had was my lung collapses a little and I had to be on oxygen for a couple of days....but the pain was manageable and I had no nausea...which was awesome...I told the anesthesiologist that I was prone to motion sickness and he said he would make sure I got stuff for that....he said anesthesia can affect you in similar ways.

The hardest part was on the 4th day with the constipation and trapped gas...take those stool softners and eat fiber (fiber one yogurt and prune juice helped me)...once I got through that it has been much better.
